EMBARQ’s work would not be possible without the generous support of its many donors around the world. We would like to particularly acknowledge our founding funder, Shell Foundation, who helped establish EMBARQ in 2002 with an initial $7.5 million investment. Twelve years later, EMBARQ has leveraged that investment to attract other funders that helped us grow centers for sustainable transport in five countries around the world. EMBARQ is especially grateful for our global strategic funders who contribute multi-year, multi-million dollar support: Bloomberg Philanthropies, Caterpillar Foundation, FedEx Corp e Shell Foundation.
LARCI LARCI (Latin America Regional Climate Initiative) was created in November 2012 by the ClimateWorks Foundation, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Oak Philanthropy, and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation as a collaborative project to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the overall prosperity of countries in Latin America. LARCI’s objective is to catalyse world-leading climate policy at a national and city level across the power, transport, and waste sectors in Latin America, with a particular emphasis on Mexico and Brazil. In its short history, LARCI has made major strides toward leadership in addressing climate change in Latin America. It has added a team of leading advocates and technical experts, and developed procedures for managing its grant making, finances, reporting, and operations.
